After three years of shared initiatives, Trentodoc has renewed its partnership – for another three-year period – with the prestigious Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW). The IMW is a professional organisation whose members, the Masters of Wine, hold the most respected title in the global wine industry.
‘We are highly satisfied with the partnership that has already begun and that we can continue, together with the Institute of Masters of Wine, to support the highest professionals in the wine world on a global scale,’ commented Enrico Zanoni, President of Istituto Trento Doc. ‘The renewed partnership thus confirms the approval that the Trentodoc brand is achieving internationally and acknowledges the uniqueness and excellence of the Metodo Classico sparkling wine of Trentino.’

Founded in 1953, the IMW promotes excellence, interaction and learning across all sectors of the global wine community.Since then fewer than 450 professionals have managed to pass all the MW exams and can be proud of gaining the much coveted title. There are 380 Masters of Wine – ‘MWs’ – working today, in 30 countries. The MWs are winemakers, buyers, journalists, shippers, business owners, consultants, academics, and wine educators. There are 360 students in the 2018-2019 MW study programme – from 45 countries – who are on their journey trying to achieve the prestigious MW title.
The partnership between Trentodoc and the IMW aims to promote the sparkling wine of Trentino and spread the mission of IMW. For Istituto Trento Doc, the renewed partnership is also an opportunity to highlight its commitment to promoting wine culture and ethics in various fields, supporting the advanced training of professionals on an international scale.
