Gianni, Domenico and Mario, three great friends, set up the Pravis winery more than 40 years ago in the Valle dei Laghi, a location surrounded by lakes and castles. They now work alongside Erika, Giulia and Alessio, the second generation of the family. They have recently started to produce a Trentodoc Extra Brut made entirely from Pinot Nero grapes called “Blau Dorè”. Pinot Nero is known as “Blauburgunder” in German regions and, until the last century, “Plant Doré” in French regions, hence the name of this Trentodoc.
The first and only Trentodoc produced by Pravis: an Extra Brut made exclusively from Pinot Nero grapes, resting on the lees for 30 months. Its name, BlauDorè, is a combination of Blauburgunder and Plantdorè, the names used respectively in France and Germany for Pinot Nero.
Thanks to their close friendship developed over the years, in 2009, as lovers of metodo classico sparkling wine, they started to produce it, almost for fun.
